Thanks for the question -- We haven't created subredit, mostly because neither of us are actually active on reddit. I don't think we'll create 'official' page. Reddit is all about community and sharing interests, and I don't see it as a marketing platform, although we will advertise there when we're ready.

Thanks for that! I only started thinking about that side of things as you moved to China!

We currently use Microsoft Azure, but none of the 'cloud' services provide cheap enough hosting per hour per GB of ram. Later, we intend to use dedicated bare-metal hosting. One of the first providers will be ovh.com -- since they focus on core hosting, I think we'll be fine. :-)

We have a target we want to achieve for minimum spec:
2 core CPU 2GHz, RAM 4Gb, DX11 GPU (any)
We are not there yet with GPU (current GPU needs to be at least nVidia 650 or AMD 6700 - roughly), however, CPU and RAM are now fine.

Internet will need 5MBit download and 1MBit upload speed. (that should be relatively low-end broadband)

I live in Jishou [Hunan - Xiangxi] the most used social networks now are Weibo and WeChat, WeChat is something like Whatsapp or Telegram but with some social network extra functions, on the other hand, Weibo is formerly a social network quite close to Twitter. It will be great to have a Traverse Profile at Weibo so as me, all people living in Mainland China can get the latest news about Traverse.

People of China are quite busy so most of them use the smartphone all the time, while on the street, underground, bus, taxi....

First version will be a gui that lets you select your destination. With a few tweaks to UnrealEngine we will be able to fly off, go through a layer of high clouds (to hide stuff that disappears and reappears) and carry on flying through space.

Planets nearby will have the rough map of the actual planet when you land -- same image that we'll generate for the minimap will be used as texture and wrapped around the sphere. It may not be 100% accurate around the poles but it will be fine in most other areas. :-)

OMG I love that. Such a neat original tidbit. Out of curiosity will there be a way to force them away after they start following you? Like a pet unfriend button.

RNG is awesome -- replaces the dev team of 200 ;-) We can't manually go around assigning specific loot tables, or create manually hundreds of various characters, or quests.

We are trying to mix RNG with procedurally generated stuff, but let player control as much of it.

All loot is randomized -- number of items that spawn at loot, quality tiers of the items, and item within specific quality tier. The only hardcoded part is that items belong to different chance to spawn depending on what is loot source. Eg 'iron ore' is 'common' item that has much larger chance to spawn while mining, than while killing a mob, and 0% chance to spawn while lumberjacking.
